What McCain must Do

Posted by caleb on Oct 13, 2008 in Presidential Election 2008 |

I am not in the camp that believes this election is over yet. I believe that McCain can still win this most historic contest, and I sincerely hope he does. However, it appears to me that all Sen. McCain has been doing to win is hope, and, unfortunately, hope alone doesn’t cut it (Faith without works is dead, folks).

Today, Obama introduced a socialistic plan to help the economy recover. I say “recover” is not the correct word… decompose into a government-run cocktail party is more like it (but that’s for another article). Its best facet was its (at least on the surface, if you don’t believe in fact-checking) simplicity. It had only four points, so I’m going to outline a four-point plan for McCain to win the presidency.

McCain’s Four-Point Plan for Victory:

  1. Set Sarah free. Only by letting the American people see how intelligent, likeable, and ready to lead your choice for VP is will they regain their trust in her. Sarah can hold her own! Remember, she is a pit bull, and she’s proven that she make the Left so scared they have to make stuff up just to stay afloat. She is the future of the Republican Party and the Conservative movement. We like her, so give us more.
  2. Get a clear message out about the economy and your hope for the country’s future. McCain, we know you can do it, but we’ve yet to hear any semblance of an easy-to-understand economic plan for the country. I say scrap all your current plans (Obama’s done it) and start over from square one. Then let us know if one of those press conferences (see number four) and soon.
  3. On the periphery, spread the news about Obama’s socialist ideals and questionable friends, but don’t let it be your main image. The American people deserve to know the truth about Barack Obama. Please make sure you follow through with your attacks. This is Presidential politics: it’s supposed to get a little nasty. Trust me, it’s okay.
  4. Hold press conferences everywhere you stop (Sarah, too) and be in constant communication with the media. When you’re elected, you’re going to have to deal with them, so why not begin now? Besides, without the media, we normal folks will never hear anything about you or your policies. Whoops! There go your poll numbers!

There’s a number five, too, but that one’s really for all of us. Every night at 8:00 CT (that’s 9:00 ET and 6:00 PT), please stop whatever you’re doing and pray for our nation, for the election, and for the safety of our troops. God answers prayer; it may not be the answer we’re looking for (McCain-Palin being elected), but it’s the right thing to do anyway. We know that no matter what happens, he’ll protect us. Remember, however, that protection doesn’t necessarily mean carefree life- we’d still have to deal with the troubles of an Obama presidency. We’d just know that, thankfully, Heaven awaits us, where no socialist idea exists!
